Event Terms & Conditions

Your event is subject to the following terms:

  1. You (the client) are to provide a suitable location for the event. This must meet the following requirements as a minimum:
    1. A private indoor area for the workshop element. Theatre setup with adequate space for the confirmed delegates.
    2. The outdoor area (fire site) with no more than 2-3 minutes walk from the workshop area.
    3. The fire site must be on a level surface where we can secure a minimum perimeter of 12m by 12m (40 ft. by 40 ft.)  around the fire.
    4. The fire site must be free from flammable objects, both moveable and immoveable (trees, bushes, sheds, cars, etc).
    5. A standard hose connection point or outdoor tap within 50m (130 ft.) of the fire site. If the distance exceeds this we must be made aware a minimum of 14 days before the event.
    6. Vehicular access to the fire site a minimum 2 hours prior to the start of the event, and for a minimum 1 hour after the event unless agreed otherwise.
    7. We reserve the right to make additional justifiable requests regarding the venue facilities.
  2. Your booking fee forms a binding contract and is non-refundable once a date has been agreed.
    With 28 days or more before an event, we may allow one movement of your date, to a new date, entirely at our discretion.
    Within 28 days, the date is not transferable, and if cancellation is required, your booking fee is retained against our costs.
    If any outstanding balance has not been paid at least 14 days prior to the event, your event may be cancelled at no penalty to Kick Ash Firewalks. 
Cancellation by you within 14 days will not result in any refund being made.
    Any change of date, may be considered, entirely at our discretion subject to reduction by our costs incurred and is conditional upon the original payment schedule being honoured.
  3. Kick Ash Firewalks is not liable for failure to perform the it’s obligations if such failure is as a result of Acts of God (including fire, flood, earthquake, storm, hurricane or other natural disaster), war, invasion, act of foreign enemies, hostilities (regardless of whether war is declared), civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power or confiscation, terrorist activities, nationalisation, government sanction, blockage, embargo, labor dispute, strike, lockout or interruption or failure of electricity or telephone service.
  4. If Kick Ash Firewalks asserts Force Majeure as an excuse for failure to perform its obligation, then we reserve the right to cancel the event or provide alternative activities, at our discretion.
  5. The final number of delegates must be notified to Kick Ash Firewalks 24 hours prior to the event starting. If the final number going to be greater than the agreed maximum number, this MUST be notified no later than 14 days before the event date.
  6. Any and all costs associated with the venue are the responsibility of you, the client, and not Kick Ash Firewalks.

In-Person Training Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to all individuals booking to attend an in-person training, workshop, or certification programme delivered by Kick Ash Firewalks, including but not limited to Firewalk Instructor Training.

  1. Your booking is confirmed once payment has been received in full or a payment plan has been agreed in writing, and your first payment has been received.
    Your booking fee forms a binding contract and secures your place on the training.
    All fees are non-refundable once a date has been agreed.
    All outstanding balances must be settled and paid in full no later than 28 days prior to the first day of training.
  2. Bookings are for the specific individual named at the time of booking and are not transferable without prior written consent from Kick Ash Firewalks.
    If you are unable to attend, you may request to transfer to a future training date. This may be permitted entirely at our discretion and is subject to availability.
    Requests made more than 28 days before the training may be considered for one date transfer.
    Requests made within 28 days of the training start date will not be eligible for transfer and no refund will be issued.
    Any approved transfer may be subject to an administration fee and any increase in course price.
  3. If you cancel your attendance at any point, no refund will be issued.
    Non-attendance, partial attendance, or failure to complete the training does not entitle you to any refund, credit, or partial certification.
  4. Kick Ash Firewalks reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or modify a training if circumstances beyond our control make delivery impractical or unsafe.
    In the unlikely event of cancellation by Kick Ash Firewalks, you will be offered either a transfer to a future date or a refund of fees paid.
    Kick Ash Firewalks is not responsible for travel, accommodation, or other additional expenses incurred by you.
  5. By booking, you confirm that you are physically and mentally fit to participate in the training, including experiential and physically engaging activities such as firewalking.
    You agree to disclose any relevant medical conditions, injuries, or concerns prior to the training.
    Participation in all activities is voluntary. You are responsible for listening to instructions and acting within your own limits.
    Kick Ash Firewalks reserves the right to refuse or remove any participant whose behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, or unsuitable, without refund.
  6. You acknowledge that experiential training involves inherent risks and agree to take full responsibility for your participation.
    Kick Ash Firewalks will take all reasonable steps to create a safe environment, but ultimate responsibility for your actions rests with you.
    You agree to follow all safety instructions provided before and during the training. Fire is not the place to freestyle.
  7. Where relevant, certification is awarded at the sole discretion of Kick Ash Firewalks and is based on full attendance, participation, and demonstration of competence.
    Attendance alone does not guarantee certification.
    Failure to meet the required standards will not result in a refund.
  8. Kick Ash Firewalks is not liable for failure to perform its obligations due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, extreme weather, fire, flood, government action, civil disturbance, or failure of utilities.
    In such cases, Kick Ash Firewalks reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or provide alternative activities.
