What’s Included?

Badaguish Outdoor Centre,
Aviemore, PH22 1AD
Your registration fee includes shared, same-sex accommodation in one of the beautiful forrest lodges at Badaguish, in rooms sleeping a maximum of four, with each room having its own bathroom. Dinner is provided on the first day and breakfast on the last day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included on each full training day.
All training materials are provided, including your Firewalk Instructor Training Manual, which will is an invaluable reference when planning and delivering your own events. Once registered, you will also be granted access to the Kick Ash Firewalk Instructor group connect with your fellow instructors.

Find yourself is the breathtaking heart of Scotland, nestled in the Cairngorm National Park at Badaguish, just outside Aviemore. Immerse yourself in the experience of connection with yourself and your surroundings as you awaken the potential within through experiential learning.
Each day holds the potential for you to discover more about yourself whilst building the knowledge and competence to deliver your own exhilarating, life-changing events. This beautiful retreat location invites you to disconnect from the rest of the world, immerse yourself in the training, and let firewalking become part of you heart and soul as you navigate your way to the moment you become a Certified Firewalking Instructor.
One focus of the course is to teach you how to conduct empowering firewalking classes for your community, public or commerce. However, in addition to firewalking, you will also master and be able to teach other people accelerated learning, glass-walking, steel bar bending, using mind over matter to break pointed arrows with your throat, board breaking, smashing concrete blocks with your bare hand, and many other remarkable skills. Plus, you will learn leading-edge exercises that facilitate attaining personal empowerment. Many people take this course solely for personal empowerment and spiritual insight, with no intention of ever teaching firewalking.
There are no prerequisites for this course; and NO prior experience of firewalking is required.
Additionally, the classroom portion covers every aspect of firewalking safety, wood types, liability, and promotion, and the logistics to bring it all together. The classes have no more than 12 delegates, so everyone receives personal attention, guidance and feedback.
The training takes place over 5 content-packed days ensuring you have ample time to experience, understand and put in to practice all the lessons to deliver your own events as a Certified Firewalking Instructor!
Certification Details
Your certification through Kick Ash Firewalks follows the curriculum established by Tolly Burkan, and refined since the early 80’s to deliver his core teachings whilst ensuring individuals leave with the requisite knowledge and understanding to deliver high impact events, whatever their style.
Recognised and approved by The Global Firewalking Alliance, this certification ensures you are able to facilitate events globally, meeting the highest safety standards and qualifying criteria to obtain insurance easily. You will also be eligible to join the Global Firewalking Alliance as a professional member, becoming part of the larger firewalk community, gaining access to resources and support only available to qualified instructors.
Over these five days you are learning lessons about the heart and soul of firewalking and empowerment from Master Trainer Barry Collins, who shares the teachings he has learnt by spending time with the founders of the modern firewalking movement, Tolly Burkan & Peggy Dylan, as well as other elders of the firewalking fraternity.
